Emery's 13th birthday

We thought long and hard about emery's birthday party this year and she came up with a super fun plan. We had the girl dropped off at our house and took them to the beach, ate lunch, played games, went to Fenton's for ice cream/dinner, and came home for another game. Emery put together these super cute goodie bags.
While we were gone at the beach griffin added a few more things to the goodie bags so when emery handed them out to the girls there were an additional 2 rubber gloves, a toy lollipop, a ball, a pencil, and an eraser. We had no idea what he'd been up to while we were away. He thought it was hilarious.

I have to say my favorite part was when they sang Happy Birthday to her. The waitress yelled across the room that emery was having a birthday today and we were ALL going to sing to her!!!
Then, after each line of the song she rang a really loud cowbell. "Happy birthday to you! ding a ling a ling a ling. Happy birthday to YOU! ding a ling a ling shakie shakie shake..."   Everyone in the room was laughing and singing. It was the best ever and emery was so embarrassed. hahaha

Then we had another rousing game of candy ball. emery has learned from past candy balls and made this one the hardest yet.

Singing to emery in young women's... I'm gonna miss snapping pics of her all the time. I got released last month.

Then she opened family gifts on her actual birthday. Lots of pineapple stuff. She's a big fan.

And she requested Angel Food Cake with whipped cream, strawberries and ice cream. Done.
We love her and are so happy to have such an obedient, helpful, kind, beautiful, crafty, and talented daughter as our oldest.
