Costa Rica 2

The kids traded off time at the beach and the huge pool while at the resort in Guanacaste.
eat. swim. repeat.

My very favorite part of the vacation was floating at the edge of the infinity pool looking out at the beach and ocean and watching the sun set with my whole family with some beach-y mood music playing in the background. I've never seen anything like it.

"coral"- Quinny found a little piece of coral and loved it so much. Hopefully the beach has recovered from her swiping that tiny bit.

 Cashew fruit
Griffin checking out the howler monkeys that hung out outside our hotel room. We got an early morning wake up call monkey-style.

campbell saved this baby bird from drowning in the swimming pool. It hopped on her shoulder and got tangled up in her hair.

 Raining in the rainforest

Griffin and Quinn set up a hermit crab obstacle course much to the hermit crabs' dismay.
The hermit crab holding cell before it was their turn to race
After our swim we hiked through some more of the forest and saw some more animals up close and personal.

Campbell checking out a mischievous monkey who had already swiped some playing cards out of a lady's purse.

Our 8 am bathwater warm ocean swim on the edge of the rainforest
We took over the hotel hammocks one night
I told the kids to save any water they were given or that was in their hotel rooms so we could have water for free without drinking out of the tap. The last night of the stay they carried over 20 water bottles into our hotel room and asked what they should do with them all. Whaaat? They'd been collecting and carrying around every water bottle they came across for the whole trip.
 My little flying buddy.
Big round of applause for these kids for making our vacation amazing and memorable.

Quinn was more than happy to eat her portion and my portion of whatever snack was handed out. Then she'd march to the back of the plane and ask for "more please"
