Back to School

The kids each had a couple first days of school this year. emery was overflowed into another school after a couple weeks. campbell stayed at the same school but was moved to a new class when they hired a new teacher. They both love their teachers and classes so I'm a happy mom.

Spencer gave the kids a fathers blessing the Sunday before school started. I remember my own father giving me a blessing before the start of each school year growing up. It's special to feel the same love and concern for my own children.

 We are able to walk to our home school, but now with the girls at different schools we can't walk anymore. When emery got moved that was the one thing they were upset over. emery said she likes being able to see campbell a couple times during the day. Even if it's just in passing. I hope next year they'll be back together at the same school.

 emery loves every part of school. She made a lot of friends at our home school and now has a group of friends at this school. It's very important for emery to have a couple reliable friends. I think her worst nightmare would be to have no one to play with at recess or sit by at lunch. Every day she comes home with a "friends report" of who is being nice/mean to the other kids. Her job in the class is "mail man" and she sorts papers into the student's mailboxes.

campbell is doing really well this year. Her teacher really likes her which goes a long way in getting campbell to behave. If campbell adores you then she'll happily do whatever you ask. She's a smart girl and it makes me happy to see her teacher is challenging her.

 We spend hours in the car each week

griffin loves his little preschool. He's mostly there for the snack and toys. When I go to pick him up each day he goes flying out the door and leaves behind all his work and his backpack.
