Mom and Dad came a couple months ago to help remove our old weathered/dry rot wood and put up new siding and wood. It was like 130 degrees outside... that's all I remember. Hot and hot and hot. It all got done and we are so grateful for dad's expertise and hard work.
The worst area was under our huge front window. There used to be a wood ledge there but I think it just fell off the wall when dad went to remove it. That black stuff is to prevent the dry rot from continuing it's destruction.
The kids took on the job of nail-removal crew.
Mom took emery and I to Time Out for Women in September. SO FUN!!! It was 2 days long and we got to stay in downtown Sac overnight. Emery was better about documenting her experience... she took pictures with all the performers and speakers.
One last picture of griffin's mouth before one of his space maintainers was removed. One day I'm gonna miss hearing him suck the food out of those appliances... one day.
We just had a field redone with turf and a new logo by our home and it's pretty spiffy...

When it's a really nice day we can't help but roam around the hills where we live. They always come back with rocks, sticks, garbage and acorns.
We snuck off to the beach one last time after school started...
They were working really hard together to get this rock out of the sand...
The kids were all Olympic-crazy back then and were doing routines on the driftwood balance beam.
quinny getting started to run her laps for their school jog-a-thon. She was a little machine and ran the whole time.
