Griffin was beyond excited to receive the Priesthood as soon as he could. We were lucky to be able to Zoom the ordination so our bishop could preside but also so some extended family could be there as well. He is a good boy and treats sacred things as sacred- we are blessed by his good example.
Towards the end of January we went to Ohio to see our cousins. Thanks Morgan and Johnny for welcoming us and making room for us in your home and schedule. We got to see the Air Force museum which was so huge and fun for the kids to explore.
We spent a day down in Cincinnati doing some cold weather stuff.
Little travelers on the airport tram
Home church looked a little different than real church
Griffin's 12th birthday was an exciting one for him! Besides receiving the Priesthood, he had a little party with our good friends and got his favorite Oreo cupcakes.
I made sure to cram 12 candles onto that little cupcake
Dad is always thinking outside the box. He noticed our free piano from our neighbors had some banged up keys. This piano is so old that the keys were covered in real ivory. He found a way to chisel off the old white and black and replace it with new black and white. Whaaat? Somehow he kept track of all the keys and made them look better than new.
