Actually... it's the San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo Mission. I remember going to this mission when I was younger and the stars all aligned so we could take the kids. emery had just brought home a list of possible 4th grade California projects and "visiting one of the 21 missions" was on the list. I'm SO glad I got that list before our trip so I could take a bunch of pictures of emery at the mission.
The mission is beautiful and there was a choir performing when we first arrived which added to the experience. Their songs were really amazing.
