This was taken after they beat Concord High- best game of the season and I was hoarse and my hands were aching by the end. They were neck and neck the whole game and since they have to win by 2 points it just kept going and going- then emery was up to serve and could have won the game then she was up and could lose the game and I was dying at the intensity.
We had such a fun fall with the addition of volleyball to our schedule. Emery had practice or games every day except Friday and Sunday so we barely saw her at all but we got to go to her games on Tuesdays and Thursdays and cheer her on.
She progressed a ton from the beginning of the season til the end. She became the libero which means she could jump in a replace people after they had served. She was replacing 2 girls on the team so she moved across the back row and then would sit out for a serve and then jump back in so we got to see her play a ton. Another benefit of being libero is that she wore a different colored shirt so the referees and substitution record keepers could tell her apart. This made her easy to find! She also became the leader for serving with the highest % of good serves. When she served an unreturned serve it's called an "Ace" and we'd go get her a treat for every ace she scored.

But we went anyway to make sure we didn't miss a single awesome hit or serve.
