Summer

Quinny wated a Frozen party even though Frozen came out 100 years ago. We played Bingo, made wands, did Shrinky Dinks and did a few games with Olaf and some fake snowballs I bought.
Once again, I had major help with this party. Campbell cut out tons of beautiful snowflakes and hung them around the house and emery made my signs and also some of the Olaf games.

Quinn is still my little baby! It boggles my mind that I had 4 kids when emery was almost 7 years old. Whaaat!? Quinn has an amazing memory and it's super selective. If she's not interested in something (school) she won't be able to tell you about it a minute later but other things she'll recite in detail years later (outfits, songs, names of dogs, who and where all her stuffed animals *stuffies* came from). She loves to play with her stuffies and she sings to them and talks to them and plays with them and listens to books on tape with them.
She loves her friends (of any age) and makes new friends everywhere we go. She never ever knows their names but, if she ever sees one of those friends again on a different day she runs right up to them, gives them a hug and picks up where they left off. This also leads to my total conviction that she would be the easiest kid to kidnap in the entire world. No puppy or candy needed.
She still sleeps on my bedroom floor every night. On the hard floor! She doesn't want the little mattress or anything! Then in the morning she opens the blinds a tiny bit and reads until she hears someone else awake.
We love little quinny so much!

Throw snowballs at Olaf and knock him to pieces. Quinn's holding the Elsa wands we made.
Cutest little stuffed doghouse with a little doggie inside.
Spencer and I went on a dinner cruise in San Francisco Bay and spent the night in the city for our 16th anniversary. Get Spencer on a boat and he's happy. It was beautiful!
We took the cub scouts to Chabot Space and Science Center to help pass off one of their NOVA awards (the special awards that have to do with science and engineering). Everyone had a great time and we didn't lose anyone. Quinny probably got lost a few times but that's normal. no big deal.
I had just read the book Endurance by Scott Kelly about his training and time as an astronaut and in the International Space Station so I was all kinds of interested about space and astronaut training. Totally fascinating.

Quinny and Campbell got caught up in this tailor shop for a while being fashion designers.
I think if Griffin had had a taller chair he would have been able to keep going. This sure made a mess when it finally fell over!
 More fro-yo
Campbell has taken to gardening and has turned a few different areas of the backyard and a lot of pots into gardening plots. She grew many different things are we were able to use her squash, spinach and basil this summer. She is the only one in our family with a green thumb and her plants love her.

 We love playgrounds!
So, the gardening interest led to many farmer-type gifts for her birthday. Campbell's birthday was the last day of girl's camp and she came home so tired that she just wanted to open her presents and I think we got take-out that night.
She got 2 large planting pots, new gardening gloves and tools and a few other things.
Griffin found a better use for the pots
